Jon Obermeyer is currently the Grants Manager for Project Open Hand, a 35-year old social services non-profit serving medically tailored meals to low-income seniors and chronically ill residents of San Francisco and Oakland. In this role, Jon is responsible for annually raising $1 million in grant funding from foundations and corporate sources. In his 15 years of grant writing experience, Jon has raised over $12 million to benefit economic development, social services and higher education non-profits from local, state and federal sources.
Jon is the former CEO of Piedmont Triad Entrepreneurial Network (PTEN). He led national outreach for Wake Forest University’s Institute of Regenerative Medicine, and has worked in the fields of banking, cloud computing, media (Hearst) and advertising technology and owned his own business in the convention services space. He has taught courses and workshops within the NC Community College System, UNC Greensboro, the University of San Francisco, and at his alma mater, Westmont College.
